My Testimony

Hi! I’m Kenneth.

For more than 25 years I’ve suffered the worst chronic eczema, an auto-immune disease that caused more than 70% of my body to be covered with excruciating burn-like sores. The best medical treatments offered no real cure. Over time, I lost my health, career, and many relationships. I was close to death could hardly go outdoors. I was separated from the world – unloved and unwanted.

All that changed when I discovered Jesus and His grace ח.

In a span of 9 months my health reversed direction for the first time in 25 years. (Being able to reduce my medicines intake significantly while my inflammations abated.). My career has been amazingly resurrected. Investment projects succeeded better than I could imagine. I’m even hired as a professional business analyst now. My favorite author Phillip Yancey read drafts of my book and said it had strong potential.

Old friends who meet me today are amazed at what they see. My favorite line was “I almost couldn’t recognize you because you look so glorious”. So apt I thought to myself. God’s glory.

All these were an impossibility before as the world had written me off.

I’ve been there, done that. Been to the best colleges. Rubbed shoulders with high profile people. I’ve also been to the darkest, most painful places. In all these things I can say that Christ is the best thing that has ever happened to me and to trust God and His timing.

I’ve learnt that what is impossible with man is possible with God. I’ve learnt that going through extreme darkness uniquely qualifies us to help other people in ways others can’t.

It feels like only yesterday that I was trapped in a bubble, unable to even enjoy sunlight.

    I’ve read many of Yancey’s books but this is the first time I actually see his face, via your video! haha

  2. Interesting insights! The Apostle Paul went through tremendous sufferings for Christ. His motivating drive was unique as he had an epiphany when he was caught up to the “Tritous Hurounos” ie the 3rd heaven where Christ spoke to him!This emboldened him but left a singular mark on his thoughts and ministry. For example, he wrote in 2 Corinthians 4:7(b), “Everyone can see that the glorious power within must be from God and is not our own. “Christians, Muslims, agnostics, Buddhists etc. can counterfeit this power which lead to distortion and false ideology. We know the source of all evil is the devil. His aim is to destroy and kill. False ideology is Satan’s tool- no different than what happened in the Garden when Adam and Eve fell! Glad to see you are making stride and forging ahead along God’s will for you.Love and prayersUncle john

    1. Hi Uncle John, I definitely resonate much with “treasures in jars of clay”. There were definitely a couple years where many people wrote me off to various degrees. They don’t say it out loud, but I can tell what’s in their hearts easily. But thanks to God, that even if the world doesn’t believe in you, there is help from outside of it – that even if “your mother and father forsake you, the Lord will raise you up.” And, if the season is right, we get to see how the “stone that the builders forsook has become the cornerstone”.
      But even more today, I see many people “have the form of godliness, but deny it’s power” – the counterfeit.

    When it seems the whole world has left us behind, we can still fall into His everlasting arms (Jeremiah 31:3). I would like to share some heartfelt words from my previous post:
