A Word if you are feeling oppressed RIGHT now #Isaiah52 #2Cor1

Facebook Link here:

Something stirred in my heart last night, and hence I couldn’t sleep. I felt someone needs to hear this right now.

Two verses came to mind and both must be read together. The first:

No weapon formed against you shall prosper … this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord… and their righteousness is from the Lord. Is 54:17

When I was younger, I would always hear people tell me the “positive” verses like the one above. I always doubted and wondered why did I ever qualified to receive such a promise. After all, I’m not a prophet like Isaiah, neither am I part of the covenant people God promised to. Even so, haven’t I made too many mistakes? Why would God favor and bless me since I am a sinner?

The second:

You qualify because of Jesus, and not because of your own efforts.

20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. 2 Cor 1:20.

When we conform to God’s purpose AND covenant, God secures your future and gives wisdom liberally (James 1:5) and provision for all good works (2 Cor 9:8).  Don’t let anyone ever tell you that God is stingy, or selfish. He is not what the Pharisees described Him to be.

Guess what connects us directly to His purpose and covenant of Grace?

Jesus.

If you are feeling oppressed, or fearful because of something bubbling under the surface in your family or career, this is for you.

  1. Thanks Kenneth. I would believe I was one of the ones who needed to read this post. But yet because I delayed following your blog. I’m reading it now. But still encouraged. I have been through a tough time, yes, to a certain extent, feeling oppressed. Because of a fellow Christian who have stirred disunity has caused me to be misunderstood, yet I cannot explain myself due to confidentiality issues (leadership level). Thanks for this reminder once again… that no weapon against me shall prosper. We need to stand confident in God’s faithfulness and not our own. Knowing that He will vindicate us in his perfect timing. Thanks Ken. Hope to catch up with ya soon.
