A “Thank you, God” in December.

The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise. (2)

Dear friends,

Has your hopeless situation has reached a boiling point? Here’s a Vlog thanking Jesus for making a way where they seemed to be no way. Every year when I return to Singapore in December, I take stock of my life: what I’ve accomplished, what the world has done to me, and what I have done to the world. By God’s grace, last year I felt the most progress in decades.

I am happy to report that this year will be even better than last year. Even within my extremely pessimistic and skeptical nature, I have to say, “thank you, Jesus.” Nothing I have done by myself could have led to this. I know, because I tried in futility for years. 2015 was the year that my hopelessness reached a boiling point and I surrendered myself to Christ again. Turns out I am living out the lesson that He makes a way where there seems to be no way, He makes streams in the desert, and makes straight our path.

If there is one thing I want to say that might summarize the last 2 years, it would be “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light upon my path”. But don’t just read it, walk with it. It may seem useless and slow going at first, but remember that this is natural. It’s MEANT to feel slow, else we wouldn’t appreciate the life-changing journey. “The Lord is not slow to His promise.” – He loves you.

Cheers, Ken

  1. Thx for sharing, I like the part of “you have to fear, you have to doubt, before your breakthrough …”

It’s only when we come to the end of ourselves and surrender to Him that we see the turn around. Keep going in your journey with God.
